Happy First Birthday!

On November 16th, you completed your year of firsts with your first birthday. We've laughed, we've cried, and we've grown together as a family. You have filled a void in my heart that I didn't even know was there until you came into my life. I've watched you over the months transform from a curled up wrinkled little baby to a strong little boy. Every day you amaze me with what you've learned and you grow more independent, but you will always be my little baby.

Skate Zone, 11/10/08

James went to Skate Zone with his friends last week. They open up the floor for kids to push wheeled toys around and play kids songs.

I took James out twice to take pictures of him while the leaves were still out, but he was more interested in tasting the leaves than posing with them.

Teaching James his Colors

James can say "mama," "dada," "baby," and "no." I've tried to get him to start saying animal and color names too when he's in the mood to repeat me. "Blue" and "purple" seem the easiest, and he said them pretty well in the tub today:

James' First Halloween

James wore a pirate outfit at daycare, but it was a little too small, so he didn't have it on long. Maybe we'll get a better one next year!
